I like being in the sky. It is bright and blue and feels good to be above the clouds. Today they look like cotton balls.
When Jesus walked the earth he did not go more than 200 miles from his hometown. I go to school more than 300 miles from my hometown and now am traveling 3,727 miles away. Jesus has touched the world and he didn’t have to go far. How much more can I do?
With His blood in my bones I feel like I can plant many seeds and even watch them grow. The land is ready to be healed to yield.
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
First, He knows us by name. Every heart string and hair strand He knows the same, just as He knows the rocks and mountains. The depths of hearts are deep waters and He has been to the bottom and back.
Humble yourself, pray, seek, that I can do.
He hears us with His ear inclined. In the silence there are answers and he would love to sit with you and chat. It is like He waits by the telephone, waiting for you to ring.
So, as I spend nine more hours in the sky, a little closer to heaven, I will be thinking about the land below, talking to my friend for the blood that cries out in the land from ages of old and from the fresh flesh that is still walking on dirt paths and cobblestones. There is so much life and beauty tucked in the corners of the earth and it is wonderful to experience just a bit more.
Well done Abba. The earth you molded and gave your blood to is stunning. Your canvas sky is too. Thank you for the cotton ball clouds.
